چکیده
Gastroenterol Hepatol Open Access 2016, 4(5): 00114 technically demanding because inherited anatomic variability in the colon such as flexures, folds, or looping in mobile segments of the colon attached to the mesentery may hinder endoscopic stable intervention [3]. In our study, ESD using retroflex-view technique was used to remove giant subpedunculated colorectal polyps to evaluate its feasibility and safety.

Pocket-creation method facilitates endoscopic submucosal dissection of colorectal laterally spreading tumors, non-granular type
Background and study aims The pocket-creation method (PCM) is a novel strategy for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). The aim of this study is to determine the efficacy of the PCM for colorectal laterally spreading tumors, non-granular type (LST-NG). Patients and methods The records of 126 consecutive patients with colorectal LST-NG who underwent ESD between April 2012 and July 2015 were r...
متن کاملIndications for and Technical Aspects of Colorectal Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection
Due to the widespread acceptance of gastric and esophageal endoscopic submucosal dissections (ESDs), the number of medical facilities that perform colorectal ESDs has grown and the effectiveness of colorectal ESD has been increasingly reported in recent years. The clinical indications for colorectal ESD at the National Cancer Center Hospital, Tokyo, Japan include laterally spreading tumor (LST)...
متن کاملEndoscopic Submucosal Dissection for Early Colorectal Neoplasms: Clinical Experience in a Tertiary Medical Center in Taiwan
Objectives. Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a promising technique to treat early colorectal neoplasms by facilitating en bloc resection without size limitations. Although ESD for early gastrointestinal epithelial neoplasms has been popular in Japan, clinical experience with colorectal ESD has been rarely reported in Taiwan. Methods. From March 2006 to December 2011, 92 consecutive pat...
متن کاملTransurethral En Bloc Resection of Bladder Tumor Using an Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection Technique: Preliminary Results in an Animal Model
BACKGROUND Transurethral resection of bladder tumor (TURBT) technique has been considered the routine method for removing most bladder tumors for decades. In contrast, endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is the gold-standard treatment for gastrointestinal superficial tumors. We investigated the effectiveness and applicability of a new technique for en bloc bladder tumor resection using ESD p...
متن کاملFeasibility of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection: A New Technique for En Bloc Resection of a Large Superficial Tumor in the Colon and Rectum
Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is a promising procedure that enables en bloc resection of large superficial tumors in the upper gastrointestinal tract. On the other hand, ESD in the colon and rectum is technically difficult to perform because of its anatomical features. At our institution, 137 consecutive superficial colorectal tumors larger than 20 mm in diameter in 137 patients were t...
